Event

On Wednesday, 14 December from 17:00-20:30, we are pleased to welcome you to a special Board Leadership Center event for family-owned businesses. In this session we will look at how the objectives of the owners are aligned with the governance of the business and the role that boards play in that dynamic.

Should the board include a majority of independent directors or members of the family? What about committee chairpersons? Is it better to have fewer or many subcommittees? Who should be responsible for succession planning? What role do family charters play in creating or stimulating alignment and strong governance?

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to governance. Through the keynote presentation by Philippe Haspeslagh and the panel discussion with Olivier Hamoir, Catherine Noël and Guido Vanherpe, led by Patrick De Schutter, we will leverage the experience of our speakers to provide you with insights into different governing structures and how each can create alignment and enable effective governance.
